ANNOUNCEMENT FOR CHURCHES OF THE TURTON MOORLAND TEAM
on SUNDAY 25th FEBRUARY 2024
As many of you will have heard, our Team Rector Peter Reiss died from his illness on Thursday of last week (22 February). Our thoughts and prayers are with Heidi his wife, his children and wider family at this sad and difficult time.
This is difficult news for all of us to hear across the Team, coming as it does after a time of Peter’s absence through illness – and it will take time to process and to grieve for Peter and his life and ministry amongst us.
There will be a service of thanksgiving to celebrate Peter’s life and ministry.
The service will be held on Friday, 8th March at 2:30pm at St Anne’s Church, High Street, Chapeltown, Bolton BL7 0ER. All are welcome to attend.
As this is a service of Thanksgiving – some colour would be welcome!
Tea and cake will provided after the service at St James’ Church, Blackburn Road, Edgworth, Bolton BL7 0PW
