Church Service Times

Christ Church Walmsley with St. Andrew’s Church, BX

SOME SERVICES MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE DUE TO CLERGY COMMITMENTS

For information about activities and opportunities especially for our younger members (Junior Church, Sunday School + Turton Youth Church), please visit this page: Church & Youth Group for our younger members + School Admissions – Walmsley Parish

Please note that the Sunday Evening Prayer services are suspended until further notice.

Rev’d Ian Hepburn, Team Rector of the Turton Moorland Team, is asking some questions of us in each of the six churches / four parishes of our Team. Please let us know your thoughts.

You can add your comments to the whiteboards in church or e-mail them directly to Rev’d Ian at turtonmoorlandteamrector@gmail.com    Thank you 🙏🏼

1. What do we do well?

2. What do we think God is calling us to do more of?

3. Where are the gaps?

4. What three things would help us to achieve these aims?

Following the recent plaster fall from the ceiling at Christ Church Walmsley, we have received confirmation from our Insurance Underwriters that services can go ahead. As a safety measure, we have cordoned off the affected areas and signposted to prevent access. Please be aware of this when entering and using the church.

Services will recommence in Christ Church Walmsley on Wednesday 22 April at 11am with Mid-week Communion led by Revd Ian Hepburn.

In the coming week, we are also invited to attend these Deanery events:

Tuesday 21 April at St Peter’s Halliwell, Church Road, Bolton, BL1 5RR: Celebrating Our Shared Journey – a Deanery Gathering. Doors will open at 6.45pm for refreshments and the event will start at 7.15pm. Book Your Place Here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1982351464594?aff=oddtdtcreator

Saturday 25th April 10am to 12:30pm: Deanery Lay Leadership Conference at Bishop Bridgeman School BL3 6PY. All lay leaders are invited to this unique opportunity for laity to gather together for worship, fellowship and encouragement. This event is open to all lay people who contribute to the life of their church in Bolton Deanery. The guest speaker will be the Right Reverend Mark Davies, Bishop of Middleton. Light refreshments will be provided. You can sign up using this link: https://Bolton2026.eventbrite.co.uk
