We hold a yearly service to which we invite families and friends of those whose funeral or interment we have conducted. Many people tell us that this service brings them comfort, help and support in their journey through bereavement, and we are more than happy to provide this opportunity to offer our prayerful support.
We are writing therefore, to invite you to join with us at Christ Church Walmsley for our annual Commemoration Service on Sunday 1st November 2026 at 4.00pm. During the Service, we will light candles in memory of, and remember by name, those who have died.
We hope that you, together with any family and friends, will be able to join us for this service. It might be that, in adjusting to your bereavement, you do not feel such a service is helpful to you at the moment, and we do understand and respect this. Please be assured that, whether or not you are able to join us for the service, you and your loved one will be remembered on that day.
Everyone who has lost a loved one – no matter when or where and would wish to light a candle in their memory – is welcome to attend this service. If you would like to add your name – and that of your loved one – to our list to be read out, please contact dawn@walmsleyparish.org. Thank you.
