Volunteers needed

If you can spare an hour (or two) once (or twice) a month or week, we’d love to hear from you.  We have several opportunities throughout the parish where your time and talents would really make a BIG difference. Here are just a few areas where we need specific help…

Do you have amazing administrative and organisational skills?

We urgently need someone to take over the organisation & rota for church cleaning at Christ Church.

Are you a Type A personality?

One survey found that orderly and detail-oriented people tend to have the messiest, most chaotic sock drawers. Experts hypothesize that people who are meticulous are more likely to spend time prioritising and organising more important parts of their lives. Could you spare an hour every few weeks to help clean the church?

Or maybe you’re the Quiet type?

We need volunteers to join our rota for QUIET PRAYER & REFLECTION ‘open mornings’ the first Wednesday of the month 10 am -12 pm at Christ Church Walmsley from 2 October.

Are you more of a Feeder?

Then you may prefer to donate to the Grub Tub. Please bring your contributions in bags and place in the tubs at the back of both churches.

Voice of an Angel?

Well, even if you don’t, but you love to sing, why not join the choir? Christ Church choir is looking for new voices. “As long as I’m singing,” writes Stacy Horn in Imperfect Harmony, her memoir of singing in a Manhattan amateur choir, “it’s as if I’m inhabiting another reality. I become temporarily suspended in a world where everything bad is bearable, and everything good feels possible.”

Any time or talent you can give is always gratefully accepted. If you have other talents or ideas of how you can get involved and support the parish, contact Jane or Dawn via: churchwardens@walmsleyparish.org
