What a wonderful day spent at Christ Church Walmsley on Tuesday 31 March with children from Walmsley CE Primary School

We started with an Easter Service, led by Rev’d Angie Foster, when we learned lots of interesting facts about (Easter) eggs and the children sang two lively Easter songs brilliantly … with some beautiful prayers given by Year 6.
Volunteers then set up Church for the ‘Easter Experience’: six ‘stations’ telling the story of Holy Week from Palm Sunday to the Resurrection of Jesus on Easter Day. The Infants from Year 2 joined us in the morning and Year 5 Juniors in the afternoon, as groups travelled round the church learning about the Easter Story, including the Last Supper when freshly baked bread was broken and ‘wine’ shared

Thank you to all the volunteers from our church family, who gave their time and passion. Thank you also to the delightful children and their teachers … we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did
