A VERY WARM WELCOME TO OUR NEW TEAM RECTOR, REV IAN HEPBURN
What a fabulous service at Christ Church Walmsley on the evening of Tuesday 18 February 2025 to welcome our new Turton Moorland Team Rector, Rev Ian Hepburn, who was officially installed by Rev Dr. Matthew Porter, Bishop of Bolton, assisted by The Ven Dr. Rachel Mann, Archdeacon of Salford & Bolton and Area Dean, Rev Simon Cook.
Many dignitaries and representatives from across the borough and the local community came to greet our new Incumbant, including the Mayor & Mayoress of Bolton and youngsters from parishes within the Team.
We are absolutely delighted to know that our church family is in such good hands.

Day 279: This evening we were invited by the Churchwardens and members of the Parochial Church Councils to the Institution and Installation of the Reverend Ian Hepburn, Team Rector, Turton Moorland Team, by the Bishop of Bolton the Right Reverend Dr Matthew Porter and the Archdeacon of Salford and Bolton, the Venerable Dr Rachel Mann.
Ian has been an amazing support to Bolton during his time serving at Bolton Parish Church and on a personal note a great support to myself and the Mayoress and the Mayoralty in general.
Bolton’s loss is certainly the Turton Moorland Teams gain.
