‘EXPERIENCE EASTER’ with Walmsley CE School

What a wonderful day spent at Christ Church Walmsley on Tuesday 31 March with children from Walmsley CE Primary School 🙏🏼🎉🫶

We started with an Easter Service, led by Rev’d Angie Foster, when we learned lots of interesting facts about (Easter) eggs and the children sang two lively Easter songs brilliantly … with some beautiful prayers given by Year 6.

Volunteers then set up Church for the ‘Easter Experience’: six ‘stations’ telling the story of Holy Week from Palm Sunday to the Resurrection of Jesus on Easter Day. The Infants from Year 2 joined us in the morning and Year 5 Juniors in the afternoon, as groups travelled round the church learning about the Easter Story, including the Last Supper when freshly baked bread was broken and ‘wine’ shared 🍞🍷 ✝️

Thank you to all the volunteers from our church family, who gave their time and passion. Thank you also to the delightful children and their teachers … we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did 💞!!

1. Palm Sunday: Entry into Jerusalem

2. Jesus washes the feet of His Disciples:

3. The Last Supper: Jesus breaks bread with His Disciples … “Remember Me”
