Sixth Sunday after Trinity – 19 July 2020

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
My spirit rejoices in God my Saviour…

 Luke 1:46 – the Magnificat

We have very much enjoyed gathering together in our churches again and welcoming you to services in our Parish and in the wider Turton Moorland Team.  Christ Church Walmsley is OPEN for WORSHIP on Sundays at 9.30am and mid-week on Wednesdays at 11am.

St. Andrew’s Church, BX will reopen for public worship on Sunday 26 July at 11am.

Virtual Service

You can enjoy each Sunday’s ‘virtual service’ led by our Team Rector, Canon Peter Reiss, HERE.

As in past weeks, accessing this link will enable you to watch a wonderful, recorded service (also on FaceBook) from 9am.

Adrian Golland has again created a service for you to enjoy this Sunday evening, during which Dawn Hitchen reads from the Old Testament, Jane Dent reads from the New Testament and Adrian leads the rest of the service and prayers.

Those of you who usually attend Evensong at Christ Church Walmsley may wish to wait until 6:30 pm for an element of ‘normality’, but this link is available to watch now. We hope you enjoy this and would welcome feedback; thank you.

Please note: John Evans is currently suffering with quinsy (extremely sore throat) and will be self-isolating prior to a cataract operation at the end of this month.  Also, the information given by Adrian about insurance issues no longer applies following an update from the Diocese. However, we do not have the volunteer staff to enable us to clean the church thoroughly if services are held more frequently than 72 hours apart. Guidance is constantly updated, however, so we will inform you when the pattern of services currently in place changes.
