WE CELEBRATE REVEREND ANGIE FOSTER’S ORDINATION as PRIEST at MANCHESTER CATHEDRAL

Priesting Ordination – 27 June 2026

+ PRESENTATION OF A BESPOKE STOLE: DESIGNED BY REV’D ANGIE and GIVEN BY THE CONGREGATIONS OF WALMSLEY PARISH (Christ Church and St. Andrew’s)

Thank you all so much for your very kind and generous gift to mark the occasion of my Priesting Ordination at Manchester Cathedral. I have been able to design a bespoke stole featuring a dove and rings for when I conduct baptism and wedding services. Rev’d Ian blessed it in the morning service on Sunday 26 July and I wore it to my first wedding since Ordination at St. Peter’s Belmont, the same afternoon! You can see pictures of the design in the included photographs – or you are welcome to see it at a service!

My Ordination was preceded by four days on retreat at the Jesuit College of Saint Bueno’s near St. Asaph in North Wales. The countryside is beautiful and my room looked out over the rolling farmland to the sea at Llandudno and the mountains of Snowdonia.

The weather was the very hot week at the end of June, but the college was cool and very welcoming with opportunities for walks and reflections as well as some study time and silence.

The service at Manchester Cathedral was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all that we have to be thankful for and thank you all for your support, whether that was being there or your thoughts and prayers; it was amazing to be able to share the experience. Thank you too for your continued good wishes and sustaining assistance in services and in my ministry with you in the past, now and going forward.

With gratitude and blessings,

Angie
